Sixteen companies including Hwashin Tech, Samwoo, Yujin MS were nominated “Daegu Star Company” for 2012. Daegu City selected the 16 companies for this year as a policy to promote small and medium business with high technology and development potential in the international .
For industrial field, nine companies were selected for mechanical & automotive, three for textile & chemistry, three for electronics & telecom, one for distribution & information service.
The competitive rate for selection was 2.8 to 1 with 45 candidates after the selection plan was announced on March 29. Daegu City made a final decision based on financial evaluation, field evaluation, and selection committee which consists of specialists for each field.
Companies selected as Daegu Star Company get various benefits such as special interest for policies and facilities, additional points in case of applying for renting a place in an industrial complex, and preferential treatment for company supporting program along with business fund support for 3 years.
